John Maldjian

John Maldjian is a founding member of Maldjian & Fallon LLC.  He is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Mr. Maldjian is a patent attorney registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.


Having had over 16 years of experience both in private practice and in-house as the senior intellectual property (IP) counsel for Tyco Telecommunications, Inc., Mr. Maldjian is well versed in the practical application of IP law in the business setting.  Mr. Maldjian relies upon that knowledge and experience, when counseling clients in all areas of IP law, including patents, trademarks, trade dress, unfair competition and trade secrets.  He prepares and negotiates IP licenses and general IP agreements. Mr. Maldjian also renders IP legal opinions, including trademark clearance opinions, and patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement and validity opinions.


 Mr. Maldjian has devoted his entire career to IP counseling, IP litigation and preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign trademark and patent applications in a variety of technology areas, including electrical, electromechanical, computer systems, hardware and software, business methods, fiber optics, adhesives, and chemical compounds, to name a few.


In 1988, Mr. Maldjian received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey, College of Engineering and, in 1995, his J.D. from Pierce Law (Franklin Pierce Law Center) in Concord, New Hampshire, now University of New Hampshire, School of Law
